Dr. Vander Zalm
After growing up in Orlando, Dr. Lindsey Vander Zalm graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Vander Zalm completed her postdoctoral training in Periodontics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident the final year of her residency. Throughout her dental training, Dr. Vander Zalm volunteered in underserved communities and provided free dental treatment locally and internationally in Ecuador. She also provided dental care for Veterans at a VA Hospital clinic during her residency.

Dr. Vander Zalm enjoys all aspects of periodontics and implant dentistry, in addition to the interdisciplinary nature of the field. She specifically enjoys helping patients feel at ease following her own experiences as a dental patient after a traumatic bicycle accident while studying at UF. Dr. Vander Zalm understands the patient’s perspective when undergoing surgical and dental implant procedures.

Dr. Vander Zalm enjoys going to the beach, cycling, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
